lastbutnotleast asked: Sure, they treated Mickey like the tin dog. But he was a pretty stand up guy, there with a tow-truck and a hand when it was needed. IIRC, less jealous than Rory (though he should'a been). He was cool about time travel & aliens. Race aside, how many dudes were there anywhere who could understand what it was like travelling with the doctor? Even Sarah Jane couldn't fully chill out and she had a kid. Martha's the Catherine Parr of Doctor Who; she actually survived it. Now Amy Pond? That's sick
I know! I already said I love Mickey. But why does Martha have to marry someone who understands what it’s like traveling with the Doctor, if she’s not traveling with the Doctor anymore? Why does Martha have to marry anyone at all? Why take this character and, in her last few seconds on screen, give her an ending that was basically the opposite of the ending she told us she wanted to have? Rose got as close as she could to what she wanted. Donna got as close as she could to what she wanted. Martha — the one companion who could have gotten what she wanted, since spending time with her family, and marrying her fiance, and not being surrounded by destruction and death were well within her reach — got nowhere near it.
I can’t even dot gif with Amy Pond.
